Telematic Peal; Studio

In early March of this year a mountain of bubble-wrap was removed from our sweetest-most-ancient Soundcraft S600 mixing desk and she was lovingly nursed into place at the studio. Malcolm installed ten miles of multi-core cable and Mr Price loaned one of his prized Eventide H3000 Ultra-Harmonizers.
Fusion was on my mind.

So, we played version 4 at Brixton last weekend and now we know there'll be a version 5.
Here is version 1. Still sounds sweet...

Swing Up High; Studio
Listen here

Version 1 : Recorded in 2004 as part of the early Riverrun experiments; for me, this almost painfully simple synthesiser arpeggio piece evokes pictures of hi-life guitarists in a frantic jam.
Swing Up High might be a bit like Marmite to your tastes though.... and aNt may be the only person in the world who loves this tune (apart from us).

Version 2 : Because Jan asked so politely. Nice one.

Phonestrap; Studio   Listen here

We travel a lot. We have fun and we work. We see things. We hear things. Sometimes we record things.

The Phonestrap collection is what happens when you begin with one idea, pop it in your suitcase and stay up late in hotel rooms across three continents. Starting with a simple voice and guitar recording Phonestrap deconstructs and grows again until it's absorbed into a version of the urban soap-opera 'Autotrader'.

Blue Mountain Jam; Live   Listen here

We shot the video for Push Upstairs in the Blue Mountains in Australia in early 1999. Torrential rain and fog as thick as custard threatened to destroy the day but in the end only served to enhance the intensity of the experience. This jam was recorded as an integral part of the shoot, on a makeshift stage in the middle of the rain and mud.
A time and a place. X marks the spot.

02-02-02; Studio   Listen here

Strangely the title is the clue here.
Dating back to the "100 Days Off" sessions 02-02-02 contains elements that found their way onto the album while this track was never mastered.
Over the years 02-02-02 has been pulled out of the vaults, dusted off and fired up at Lemonworld more than once; you might have heard it broadcast on underworldlive.com, but as Led Zep said "The Song Remains The Same".
